Quite a few games are locked at 30 still, including Dishonored 2, from what that list says, either the game uses dynamic resolution to achieve 60 fps, or checkerboard effect.
#Ps4 fps games 2018 pro
List some of those games that the PS4 Pro can't run at 60fps, afaik on the PS4 Pro demanding games can run at 60 if they lower the res to 1080p, yes there's games that at 1440p (fake 4K with upscaling) have to run at 30fps, but you have the option of how you want to run them, this game in particular a PS2 game would have been very easy to run at 60fps in the PS4 Pro at 1080p, my best guess is that SE was lazy to make it happen. The PS4 pro can however render games at 60fps easily. Originally posted by Red Monk:PS4 Pro actually can't run a lot of games at 60fps due to the pitiful CPU it has installed, because of this, games with high AI/bots and crowds won't be able to run at 60 due to the amount of information being processed on the screen at once. No one is comparing it to even something like The Witcher 3, which justifiably has higher system requirements than this, and came out in 2015. I don't think anyone is claiming it is a super demanding 2017/8 game either, those requirements on the store pager are not THAT high. I have not actually seen any comparisons so I don't know if they did anything more than just upscale them, but I presume there are at least some further minor improvements to them. They might not be 4K as the store page says 4K resolutions are not "officially" supported, they are upscaled 1080p, which makes a huge difference when compared to the PS2 version. No matter how ugly they are, they are upscaled to a higher resolution, which is the most important thing regarding performance. if that's what's you're expecting out of this remaster you'll be disappointed, it's still a damn PS2 game ffs.Don't take this as me defending ugly textures, but whether they are pretty or not is not very important when it comes to performance. finally! so people stop saying how this "lazy remaster" is super demanding like it was a 2017/8 game.with 4K textures when obviously it's not.

Originally posted by a.j:What people don't seem to know because they haven't seen gameplay I guess is that the game doesn't look like a PS4 game it looks like a sharped PS2 game or maybe an early PS3 game, how is that so many people get wrong what a remaster and a remake are, but you will see in a few hours how the textures look.
In my experience those hardware requirements aren't always very accurate either, especially with Final Fantasy ports, so it might very well in reality demand less. Upgraded textures are what increases the system requirements quite significantly, and the requirements at the store page are likely aiming for stable 60fps, twice the frame rate of the PS4 release. Comparing it with other PS4 games would be more accurate. Regarding hardware requirements, it's a remaster of a PS2 game, not a PS2 game. That, or Square reworked those mechanics before upgrading the framerate. Perhaps DigitalFoundry was just simply wrong. I usually turn off certain filters like bloom and depth of field anyway so that should help the framerate. I'll wait for others to post how their performance is.

I'm just stunned a remaster of a PS2 game has more demanding hardware requirements than the PC version of a PS4 game. Originally posted by Catratio:Well no doubt a console can't do it, but their argument was the game would fundamentally break if pushed above 30 FPS.
